Wildlife photographer Alan McFadyen finally captured a photo that he has been trying to get since last 6 years.

According to him, it took him 4,200 hours and 720,000 photos to get that perfect shot.

Wondering what he wanted to capture? He wanted to take a perfect shot of kinfisher diving straight into the water without a single splash.

“The photo I was going for of the perfect dive, flawlessly straight, with no splash required not only me to be in the right place and get a very lucky shot but also for the bird itself to get it perfect,” McFadyen told The Herald Scotland.

According to the reports, he would often go out and take 600 pictures in a session but not a single picture he felt was as he desired.

McFadyen remembers that his grandfather often use to take him to see the kingfisher nest and he would find the birds magnificent.

Hence when he opted for photography in 2009, he returned exactly to the same spot to photograph the kingfishers.
