RTC bus mows down two lady students

The accident took place at around 10.30 am near the Power Grid Complex in Kavadiguda
Hyderabad: Two post-graduate students of the Kasturba Women’s College at West Marredpally died in an accident on Saturday when an RTC bus hit their bike.
Sushmitha Sharma, 22, and Husna Reza, 22, suffered multiple injuries and succumbed while undergoing treatment. The accident took place at around 10.30 am near the Power Grid Complex in Kavadiguda.
Sushmitha, belonging to Nagaram, was doing MSc computers and Husna, a native of Musheerabad, was studying MBA.
On Saturday morning the duo were riding a two-wheeler to attend a fest at AV College in the Domalguda area. Sushmitha was driving and Reza was on the pillion. When they reached Kavadiguda, an RTC bus from Chengicherla depot, running on the ECIL to Secretariat route hit them.
"The bus driver lost control and rammed into the Scooty ahead. Both riders suffered multiple injuries,” said SI G. Satyanarayana. The two were taken to a private hospital and they succumbed while undergoing treatment.
A case was registered against bus driver Sathaiah who is absconding. According to witnesses, the bus rammed into an autorickshaw after hitting the bike. However, the passengers escaped without injuries. Police is on the lookout for the driver.
