Japanese OEM launches world’s slimmest Windows 10 smartphone
Mumbai: Microsoft’s latest smartphones—Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL— are two of slimmest Windows 10-based handsets manufactured by the company. However, Japanese manufacturer Yamada Denki has launched a new Windows 10 based smartphone, which is slimmer than both the devices.
Yamada Denki’s Everyphone is also one of the first non-Windows mobile devices to utilise a Windows 10 OS. A just 6.9mm thickness and 139 grams, the phone is as thin as the iPhone 6 and is far slimmer than the Lumia 950 XL (8.2mm).
The phone will start rolling out in Japan starting Saturday at a price of around $325 (Rs 22,000). As far as specifications are concerned, the Everyphone sports a 5.5-inch HD display with a resolution of 720X1280 pixels.
At its core, the device is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clubbed with 2GB RAM. The Everyphone also comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera set-up along with dual-LED flash and a 5MP front shooter.
Additionally, the device has a battery capacity of 2,600mAH and also supports 4G LTE.
