There have been speculations doing the rounds that veteran actor Karthik was admitted to the hospital due to chest pain. However, it later turned out to be a rumour though it was sure that he had visited one for a check-up.
Knowing that varied verisons of the news were doing the rounds, his son Gautham Karthik took to Twitter to clarify saying, “Thank you all for your concern about dad. He has gone for a routine check up not a heart problem. Please stop spreading rumors. He’s fine (sic).”
A source says that the actor underwent a skin-grafting procedure at Apollo Hospital and that Dr Ganapathy, a skin specialist, was in charge of the actor’s treatment. One may recall that the actor did hair transplantation few years ago abroad, after which he reportedly developed a skin infection. The actor-turned-politician, donned the greasepaint again recently for Anegan earlier this year.
