Murugadoss returns to T’town after a decade

Filmmaker AR Murugadoss, who’s currently busy wrapping up his Hindi venture Akira with Sonakshi Sinha, will start his next project with the Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu in 2016. While Harris Jayaraj has already been roped in to compose music, the latest addition to the film’s technical crew is cinematographer Santhosh Sivan. Interestingly, all three —Murugadoss, Sivan and Harris Jayaraj have worked previously in the Vijay-Kajal Aggarwal starrer Thuppakki and are hoping they will leave no stone unturned to repeat the success in Telugu this time! Santhosh Sivan wrote on Twitter, “Looking forward to doing the film with Murugadoss, Mahesh Babu next year (sic).”

If all goes well, this untitled flick will mark Murugadoss’ return to Telugu industry after a decade. Rumours are also abuzz that the film will be simultaneously shot in Tamil with actor Vijay, who has worked with Murugadoss twice before. However, nothing has been confirmed yet. On the other hand, Mahesh Babu, who is currently busy shooting Brahmotsavam, will begin this project after finishing his existing commitments.
