DSP turns a hero with a bilingual!
Looks like music composer Devi Sri Prasad, who has more than 50 albums to his credit, has been bitten by the acting bug, finally! Soon after Vijay Antony and G V Prakash introduced their acting avatars, here comes the news that DSP is set to make his acting debut soon with a yet-to-be titled Tamil-Telugu bilingual project. It’s known that DSP has a convincing stage presence and can act and dance well, besides having appeared in a couple of songs that he has composed. Though he has been wanting to become an actor for a while now, his composing assignments have kept him busy.
This film will be directed by his close friend and filmmaker Sukumar, who confirms to DC that the other reports published stating this would be a musical subject with two heroines, are all rumours! “All is in the nascent stage, except that DSP has given his nod,” Sukumar tells us.
We also hear the project will go on floors next year and will be produced by Dil Raju, and Prasad will also compose the tunes for the project. Cinematographer Rathnavelu has been roped in to handle the camera. Meanwhile, Devi Sri Prasad was supposed to debut as a hero with either Shriya Saran or Charmi playing the lead role opposite him long back, but the project didn’t materialise.
