What is onscreen romance like for you?
My romance lasts for two minutes — unlike Shah Rukh’s, which goes on for two long hours on screen. (Laughs)
How was it working with Esha Gupta for the third time?
I have done Jannat 2 and Raaz 3 with Esha Gupta earlier. When T-Series offered me this single, I thought of it as a chance to get together for the third time.
It seems like the trend of the singles is back…
It’s a nice trend. I was glad to work in Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon even though I didn’t get the girl in the end (smiles).
You haven’t been living up to your serial kisser tag
(Laughs) There is no specific reason to it. If filmmakers feel that it is required, then why not? I promise to kiss my lady in Azhar.
You sport a very clean look in Azhar…
Since the time I have joined films, I had never been clean-shaven; although I used to trim my beard regularly. I was petrified to shave for Azhar after 15 years.
How is it training in cricket with Azharuddin for the film?
He has been very cordial while coaching me. I have started playing cricket quite well now.
Is it true that you have signed Bhansali’s next?
Nothing has been finalized yet. I am only doing Raaz 4 now.
