Farah Khan defends Aamir's intolerance remarks

The director feels that it's wrong to attack Aamir
Mumbai: Choreographer-turned-filmmaker Farah Khan has come out in support of Aamir Khan, who waded into controversy with his remarks on growing intolerance, and feels it's wrong to attack the actor.
"I was waiting for this particular question. I just want to say that there is no intolerance but when somebody has a point of view everybody jumps on him and attack him," Farah
said at an event here. "That is the very definition of intolerance. So, it's ironic that we say 'how can you say we are intolerant'," she said.
Aamir, 50, is at the centre of a raging debate after he expressed "alarm and despondency" over the rise in incidents of intolerance in the last six to eight months in an
interaction at a ceremony in Delhi. "Kiran (his wife) and I have lived all our life in India. For the first time, she said, should we move out of India...She fears for her child, she fears about what the atmosphere around us will be," Khan had said.
He had also supported those returning their awards, saying one of the ways for creative people to express their dissatisfaction or disappointment was by giving back awards.
