Karnataka is the leader in start-ups in India, says R.V. Deshpande
Hyderabad: In an attempt to attract more companies, the Karnataka government is inviting Hyderabad based companies to set up their shop in the neighbouring state.
Speaking on the sidelines, minister for large and medium scale industries and tourism, R.V. Deshpande said, “We will do everything possible to enable companies to conduct business ethically, seamlessly and easily. Karnataka is the leader in start-ups in India. We are reassesing our power situation and hope to become self-sufficient by 2016 by adding 2,000 MW of power.”
He said that the state is calling for investment in aviation, manufacturing, tourism, hotels and other sectors as well. Meanwhile, few industrialists from Hyderabad met the minister and expressed their desire to invest in Karnataka. Ramky Infra, among others, has expressed an interest to invest over Rs 1,000 crores in the state.
