Siddaramaiah, ministers worried lot!
With Congress party vice-president Rahul Gandhi set to arrive in the city, several ministers and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah are reportedly a worried lot. According to a few leaders, Mr Gandhi is likely to be grilled by Mount Carmel College students on issues such as the garbage problem, potholes and low standard of road work that have led to several accidents in the last few months.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, a senior leader of the Congress party disclosed that students are worst affected due to the poor road work in the city. “In the last 15 days many of these youngsters have met with accidents which have not been reported as these were minor accidents,” the source said.
“Apart from this, most students’ vehicles have hit major craters due to which they are regularly visiting repair shops. This has affected students a lot, as a result, they are likely to raise these issues which might result in an eye-opener for Mr Gandhi on the situation in the city,” the source added.
