Met predicts more rain in next 2 days in Visakhapatnam

Moderate to heavy rains would occur at isolated places

Visakhapatnam: Vizag Met officials have said that the prevailing trough in the southwest Bay of Bengal off the Sri Lanka and Tamil Nadu coasts and adjoining equatorial Indian Ocean may persist into a low pressure by Thursday, Nov. 26.

They predicted that this may result in moderate to heavy rains over south coastal AP and Rayalaseema within the next 24 to 48 hours.

Moderate to heavy rains would occur at isolated places of Nellore, Prakasam, Chittoor, Kadapa, Anantapur and Kurnool during the next two days, said a senior official at the Met office here.
