Leave India, reduce population, says Yogi Adityanath

Sakshi Maharaj demanded to know whether Khan’s wife wanted to live in Iran

New Delhi: In his reaction, NCP supremo Sharad Pawar said that the supreme sacrifice by Col. Santosh Mahadik was more important than Aamir Khan’s remarks on intolerance.

Angry over his colleagues remarks, actor Anupam Kher tweeted, Dear @aamir_khan. Did you ask Kiran which country would she like to move out to? Did you tell her that this country has made you AAMIR KHAN.”

He further tweeted: “Dear @aamir_khan. When did ‘Incredible India’ become ‘Intolerant India’ for you? Only in the last 7-8 months?” Khan is also an ambassador of ‘Incredible India’, a government’s campaign to promote tourism. Kher also questioned Khan as why he did not talk of leaving the country during “worse times” earlier.

Reacting on the issue, Union minister M Venkaiah Naidu said “some people are misleading and some people are misled”. Another Union minister Kiren Rijiju said Khan’s comments on intolerance were completely misplaced and such remarks only bring the image of country and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi down.

Batting for Khan actor-turned-politician Khushboo said one doesn’t have to be in power to speak for people of the country.

Taking swipe at Khan, BJP MP and Hindutva leader Yogi Adityanath said nobody has stopped him from leaving India if he wants to and it will help reduce the country’s population. The Gorakhpur MP also said that the comments like the one made by Khan over the alleged intolerance in the country were “politically motivated.”

BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj demanded to know whether Khan’s wife wanted to live in Iran. He said the remarks were a conspiracy to malign PM’s image.
