Birthday celebration was a low key affair with the family and close friends
Mumbai: Salim Khan is one lucky father to have a son like Salman Khan. As he turned 80, Salman left no stone unturned to celebrate daddy’s birthday with a close bunch of people.
Salman Khan invited only a few close friends to his Galaxy Apartments for Salim Khan’s birthday celebration. He also ordered a customized cake for his dad that had a beautiful message, ‘Happy 80th birthday to the best daddy in the whole wide world, love you’.
Elli Avram, Kabir Khan, David Dhawan, Sajid Nadiadwala, Shoib Akhtar and many others graced the birthday party. Salim Khan was seen donning a cap, which says Mr. Right.
Salim Khan made his Bollywood debut when director K Amarnath saw him at a wedding and was impressed by his good looks. He called Salim to Mumbai where he hired him as an actor for Rs. 400 a month. He did cameos in several movies like ‘Teesri Manzil’, ‘Sarhaadi Lootera’ and ‘Diwaana’ but failed to grab the public's attention. Later, he collaborated with Javed Akhtar as a screenplay writer. Post which, the duo wrote some of the biggest blockbusters like ‘Sholay’, ‘Zanjeer’ to name a few.
