Jayalalithaa briefs MPs ahead of Parliament session
She urged them to talk about the damage caused by the northeast monsoon in Parliament
Chennai: Chief Minister Jayalalithaa Monday met AIADMK members of Parliament and briefed them ahead of the upcoming winter session of Parliament. In a brief interaction with all 49 party MPs on Monday morning, she urged them to talk about the damage caused by the northeast monsoon in Parliament.
Stating that they should highlight the relief work done by the state government, she added that they should also draw the Centre’s attention to the extent of damage and the urgent need for more Central aid.
Expressing her satisfaction with the performance of all the MPs in Parliament she also asked them to be clear on the party’s stand on various issues. With regards to the upcoming bills to be tabled by the Modi government in the winter session, she has instructed them to check with the party high command on the stand to take.
