BJP MP claims some union ministers ignoring backward caste MPs

Ministers were not implementing PM's policies, thus tarnishing government's image

Ballia(UP): A BJP MP from Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday alleged that some Union ministers were suffering from feudal mentality and ignoring the party's parliamentarians belonging to backward castes. Talking to reporters here, BJP MP from Salempur, Ravindra Kushwaha alleged that whenever OBC MPs write to the ministers on public grievances, no action is taken and they just complete the formality by sending a formal letter in return.

He further claimed that only those MPs who adopt a rebellious attitude or speak erratically are given preference while those working peacefully and in a disciplined manner are not given any importance. He also alleged that the ministers were not implementing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's policies thus tarnishing the government's image. He further claimed that Ram temple and other controversial issues were being fanned with an intention to create problems for Modi.

Kushwaha said Modi had received people's support on the issue of development and by distancing himself from all controversial issues but, he alleged, the conspirators were indulging in unnecessary rhetoric and damaging the BJP as they could not tolerate the party and him getting stronger. He said that the BJP cannot form a government on the basis of Ram temple and other controversial issues and it had to pay the price of rhetoric in Bihar polls.

Targeting the party's state leadership, he said, that the leaders have failed to realise the ground realities of Uttar Pradesh. Today importance is being given to those who keep the party in their pockets. The situation BJP is in presently, it cannot form government in Uttar Pradesh, Kushwaha said, adding, those who joined the party before the Lok Sabha polls were being treated in a sub-standard manner.
