Jayalalithaa summons party MPs; effects organisational shake up
Former minister Pollachi V. Jayaraman has also been stripped of his election wing secretary post

Chennai: AIADMK headquarters was teeming with activity as the party general secretary J. Jayalalithaa on Sunday summoned all her party MPs to the state capital on Monday. She also announced a massive organisational shake up in the party.
Confirming the issuance of summons to the MPs, party sources said the Parliamentarians would meet the CM at the Secretariat by noon on Monday. Earlier in the day, Jayalalithaa appointed 11 new organising secretaries and removed former Speaker P.H. Pandian and Aadhi Rajaram from the posts.
Former minister Pollachi V. Jayaraman has also been stripped of his election wing secretary post. Former DMDK presidium chairman turned AIADMK loyalist Panruti Ramachandran and incumbent ministers Natham R. Viswanathan, Vaithilingam, Idappadi K. Palanisamy and Sri Rangam MLA Valarmathiu are among the newly appointed organising secretaries.
