Mumbai: While working on ‘Barfi’, Anurag Basu and Ranbir Kapoor had decided to make a biopic on Kishore Kumar. However, things didn’t fall in place and now the project has been shelved.
Apparently there was not just one, but a few major problems which led to this development. The major reason being the films' cast. The makers failed to get their dream cast on board. Also, Ranbir’s family members were not happy with the script. Several factors played spoilsport and hence they decided to shelve the project.
Ranbir is gearing up for the release of ‘Tamasha’ starring Deepika Padukone and 'Jagga Jasoos' starring Katrina Kaif. He recently wrapped up shooting for ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ with Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The actor will soon begin shooting for Ayan Mukerji’s superhero film. Soon after that, he will start preparing for Sanjay Dutt’s biopic which goes on floors later next year. The film which will be directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
