Mumbai: Imtiaz Ali is known to create some of the best love stories onscreen. Shah Rukh himself has been part of many love stories that have been immensely loved. In fact, DDLJ, a love story that one can never get bored off, is still running in a theatre in Mumbai. So the big question was, when will the king of romance and the king of romantic storyteller collaborate? We have the answer for you.
A source told this paper, “It was a couple of months back that Imtiaz and Shah Rukh met to discuss a subject. With Shah Rukh, its not like he takes script discussion as just a small process. He likes to met the director again and again, understand the subject and soak in the character. The actor met Imtiaz on many occasions to discuss the subject. At times, Shah Rukh also gives his feedback on the story line and long discussions are only meant for the two to arrive on the same page.”
And with those discussions, SRK has given a green light to the film that will be directed by Imtiaz.
So what is the film about? A source said, “ Right now, only the core team members know the basic idea of the story. But it is definitely a romantic film and Imtiaz Ali will try to present Shah Rukh in a very new avatar. Taking his stardom in mind, he would try and break the clichés and uncover a new side to the actor. While Shah Rukh is still left to shoot some part of Raees which he will finish it by January. Fan is completely shot and is almost ready. If all goes well, Shah Rukh will start shooting for the film in the first half of 2016.”
