Hyderabad: Around 1,661 of the old property offenders arrested in Hyderabad from 2011 to 2015 are employed. 61 old offenders went abroad for employment after the cases against them were closed. 474 are working as auto drivers, while 102 died due to various reasons.
These facts were revealed during the integrated criminal survey conducted in the first week of November.
Hyderabad police conducted an integrated survey of criminals who were arrested for various cases from 2011 to 2015. Out of the 11,000 arrested for robbery, theft, chain-snatching, murder, murder for gain, rioting, communal clashes, and other crimes, cops surveyed 5,541 offenders who are staying in Hyderabad city. During survey cops found that out of 5,541 property offenders living in the city 3,790 of them could be located while 1,751 could not be located. Photographs of 3,383 offenders were captured. “Out of these 1,388 are staying at permanent addresses while 2,405 are staying in rented houses. 321 are serving imprisonment,” said an official release.
