Watch: When Ranveer Singh slipped into his 'Bajirao' look for the very first time

Mumbai: After a span of 10 long years, Sanjay Leela Bhansali began shooting for his dream project 'Bajirao Mastani'. Now, his film starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra is all set to the theaters on December 18.
Ranveer, who plays Bajirao, slipped into a new look for the role. He had had long discussion with his director regarding the look and decided to go bald. The makers recently released a video which shows Ranveer's transformation to the ruler. The actor even learnt Marathi dialect, horse riding and got rid of the chisled body he had achieved for 'Ram Leela'.
In an interview, Ranveer said that it's an honour for him to essay the role of the ruler. He said, "The more deeper I get into his life, the more I understand what an amazing man he was. It's an honour for me to be selected to play this character. To play the role of such stature, such depth...who is achieved so much in his life, it has been an intense experience for me. I actually had to lock myself up and focus to create something distinct. It is not easy to play a distinct character, you need to travel back in time and enter the skin of the character. None of my films has demanded so much of me. An actor gets this opportunity once in his career. It was extremely fulfilling as I had a lot to give towards my craft."
