Mr Ha-ku said the book would have 150 cartoons of the chief minister
Thiruvananthapuram: Cartoonist Ha-ku, alias Harikumar, is gearing up to release a cartoon book on Chief Minister Oommen Chandy through a mobile application.
The book, titled 'Athivegam Behudooram', caricatures the crisis moments of Chandy's tenure as the chief minister of the state.
The cartoon book is being brought out by online publishers valmeeki.com. The book would be released at Cliff House here on November 23.
Mr Ha-ku said the book would have 150 cartoons of the chief minister. The highlight of the book was cartoons highlighting his "chanakya" tricks in overcoming his opponents who was trying to sabotage his dream projects like Vizhinjam and SmartCity, Mr Ha-ku said.
The book would also have cartoons on how Mr Chandy overcame the attacks in solar case involving Saritha S. Nair and bar bribe case which many thought would result in his downfall. The ease in which he could overcome the opposition within the party is another highlight of the cartoon book, Mr Ha-ku said.
There are also cartoons on issues like liquor policy and those relating to K. M. Mani, P. C. George and R Balakrishna Pillai in the book.
Another highlight is the political situation in which Mr Chandy came into direct conflict with Opposition leader V.S. Achuthanandan. The book can be considered as a political history of the present UDF government, Mr Ha-ku said.
Apart from the virtual edition, a print edition would be brought out by Sahiti Publishers. He had earlier brought out books on Mr Achuthanandan titled 'Manasavacha' and Manmohan Singh titled 'Varachavarayil Manmohan'.
