Vikram’s next film to be directed by Anand Shankar

It was announced earlier that Vikram’s next film to be directed by Anand Shankar of Arima Nambi fame would be produced by Kalaipuli Thaanu. The project, which was supposed to commence in July, didn’t take off due to unknown reasons. Meanwhile, Ayngaran International, the popular production company stepped in to produce the movie, as Thanu got busy with Kabali and Vijay59. However, post the failure of 10 Endrathukkula at the box office, things seem to have changed. Ayngaran backed off from the project, and now Shibu, one of the producers of Vijay-starrer Puli, is bankrolling it.
Confirming the same, he said, “Yes I’m producing the film and an official announcement will be made in a day or two. I can’t reveal any other details pertaining to the film now.” The movie will have Kajal Aggarwal and Bindu Madhavi playing the female leads.
