Maoists put Telangana Rashtra Samithi regime on notice
Khammam: In a letter left behind after abducting TRS leaders, the Maoist party found fault in the policies of the KCR government.
The party demanded arrest of the police officers, who were involved in the encounter killings of Srithi and Sagar.
“The government should stop combing operations in north Telangana districts and fulfill all promises made during the elections by KCR,” the letter stated.
TRS cadres were shocked over the abduction of the party leaders in the district. This is the first time that the TRS has faced such a setback at the hands of Maoists after the state was formed and Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao became Chief Minister.

Though kidnapping of ruling party leaders is not new in Khammam district, this is the first time that the TRS has been targeted. Earlier, Congress and Telugu Desam leaders were abducted by Maoists.
The kidnapped leaders are not ordinary party activists but senior leaders of Bhadrachalam division. Tension prevailed in Bhadrachalam division and TRS leaders were asked to vacate remote areas keeping the Maoist threat in view.
Police officials, meanwhile, are considering the letter left behind by the Maoists as serious. Vigil was stepped up in the district and border areas were sealed.
In the letter, the Maoists referred to various issues of the state including suicides of farmers. They warned that they would take serious steps if the promises of the TRS government were not fulfilled.
