Maoists kidnap six TRS leaders in Pusugubba village of Khammam

The TRS leaders, who had arrived in Pusugubba on Wednesday, were discussing party affairs

Khammam: Six TRS leaders were kidnapped by armed Maoist militants at Pusugubba village under Charla mandal on Wednesday morning while they were meeting at one of the leader’s houses. The abductions came to light on Thursday evening.

According to sources, four armed Maoists, along with 20 Gothikoya tribals, surrounded the house of TRS leader V.K. Ramakrishna in Pusugubba village and abducted the six leaders — Bhadrachalam Assembly TRS segment in-charge Mane Ramakrishna, former president and party secretary of Charla mandal Patel Venkateswarlu and Santapuri Suresh, Vazed mandal former party president Gubbgurthi Janardhan, Venkatapuram mandal former party president Dekka Satyanarayana and Mr Ramakrishna.

The TRS leaders, who had arrived in Pusugubba on Wednesday, were discussing party affairs. During the meeting, four armed Maoists and 20 Gothikoya tribals came and whisked them away into the forest.
