There were various speculations about the director of Vijay’s next flick. The names of AR Murugadoss, SJ Suryah, Hari, Jayam Raja, Karthik Subbaraj and more surfaced, though there wasn’t any official confirmation.
Now, sources say that Bharathan who directed the actor in Azhagiya Tamizh Magan earlier, has been chosen to helm Vijay60, which will go on floors in next year.
It’s heard that the star will take a break after the completion of his ongoing film with Atlee, which is likely to be a summer release. The untitled film with Bharathan will have Madhee cranking the camera and Praveen doing the editing.
Vijaya Productions, which bankrolled the Ajith-starrer Veeram, will produce the movie. The grapevine has it that the makers are planning to rope in either Yuvan, Anirudh or Santosh Narayanan to score the music.
Azhagiya Tamizh Magan, a 2007 release, which released with huge expectations and Shriya and Namitha playing the female leads, was a colossal failure.
