High speed Internet to connect Telangana
The state govt will soon be providing high speed Internet connectivity to all villages and towns
Hyderabad: The state government will soon be providing high speed Internet connectivity to all villages and towns as through the Fiber Grid Project. TS technical services, on behalf of IT department, has issued tenders for consultant support and preparation of the Detailed Project Report for the project.
According to officials, the project will be reliable and modern, with the network covering the entire state. “The TS Fiber Grid project involves taking optical fiber connectivity to villages and extending broadband to every home in the state. In order to lay a state of the art, fiber network from state to the village and to provide desired quality of service, we are preparing a DPR,” an IT department official said.
The design will ensure 2 GB bandwidth for gram panchayats, 15 to 20 Mbps connectivity to each home and 100 Mbps to 1 Gbps on demand. The design will have the capability of delivering minimum five points of 100 Mbps at gram panchayat level for the government user network.
