Girl uses perfume to freshen breath, dies
She used half of the spray to freshen her body as well as her breath
HASSAN: In bizarre incident, a 19-year-old girl used perfume to freshen her breath and died after she failed to respond to the treatment. Sudha, a resident of Vastare village in Chikkamagaluru taluk, had come to her native place from Bengaluru for celebrating Deepavali festival with her parents.
She was residing at Bengaluru with her sister and on November 13, she dressed up to go out. While dressing up, she is said to have used perfume to freshen her breath as well as her clothes and it is said that she used half of the spray to freshen her body as well as her breath. Soon after, Sudha started to complain of uneasiness in her tummy and screamed in pain. Her parents rushed her to a district hospital and later she was shifted to another hospital in Chikkamagaluru. From there, she was shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru where she breathed her last on Monday evening after she did not respond to treatment.
Police are waiting for the post-mortem report of Sudha to determine the exact cause of her death and as of now, it looks like that she died of using perfume to freshen her breath, said a police officer to Deccan Chronicle. Her father has lodged a complained stating that Sudha used body spray to freshen her breath. Aldur police have registered a case.
