Part of James and Alice to be shot in Kutch
The latest news is that the director has zeroed in on Kutch as one of the important locations for the film
Sujith Vaassudev, who mesmerised film buffs with his enigmatic visuals in films like Amar Akbar Anthony, Memories, Drishyam, Papanasam and Punyalan Agarbathis, is gearing up to call the shots for Prithviraj starrer James and Alice. The latest news is that the director has zeroed in on Kutch as one of the important locations for the film.
Confirming the news, the director says, “Though Kochi will be the major location of the film, we will shoot certain scenes at Kutch too. The other portions will be shot at Alappuzha and Peermade,” says the director who has cast actress Parvathy Nair along with Dr Saji in prominent roles.
“Dr Saji, who is our producer, will also do a pivotal role in the film. He was earlier active in theatre and has acted in various plays directed by Dr S Janardhanan, who is our screenwriter,” says Sujith who cranked the camera for Anarkali, only the second Malayalam film to be shot in Lakshadweep after Ramu Kariat’s Dweepu.
“For Anarkali, I had bought a Gimbal to shoot the scenes without jerks. The single take shot in the climax was shot using this. Later, the same Gimbal was used in Amar Akbar Anthony,” says Sujith.
