Sania Mirza thanks CISF for its protection
Hyderabad: India’s Ace tennis player Sania Mirza on Tuesday said that that she was serving the country in her own way. Talking to media persons at a curtain raiser event in National Industrial Security Academy, the world number 1 player said that 2015 was an amazing year for her.
“We are all serving our country in different ways. I am doing my best in that way. I am really thankful to the industrial force for protecting us,” she said. Mentioning about her continuous victories and her fellow player Martina Hingis, she said she was hoping to continue the triumphs next year also.
“To be very honest, it has been an amazing year for me. To end the year as a number one player in the world, also to be the number one team in the world, also just the way that we played, it has been amazing,” she said.
“It is the dream of any athlete to remain on the top for a long time. We did not lose even single time in the last half of this year. This is truly a dream run for me,” she said. The star player said she would be playing in the ITPL next month and Australian Open in January. Sania has won Wimbledon, US Open, Singapore Open, among others, in the season.
The officials said that CISF trainees and staff will be celebrating the completion of 25 years of CISF in the country from December 1 to 8.
