Baahubali now a hit in Europe

According to reports, distributors spread across Europe are vying for the rights to Baahubali and it’s apparently an all-out fight. The film recently opened in China and the Latin American markets.

“There’s a great demand for Baahubali in Europe. Never before there’s been so much demand for an Indian film. Several distributors are literally fighting to buy the film’s rights. This is really good from Indian films’ perspective,” filmmaker and European distributor Pierre Assouline was quoted as saying in a report.

Assouline added: “The film market is the need of the hour. It helps in finding films international distributors. I’m sure there are many good Indian films that deserve a release in other countries as well.”

Meanwhile, the film’s TV entry has scored big too. Baahubali is currently in the top 10 in terms of overall viewership, from a period of 2010-2015. The list includes biggies such as Salman’s recently released Bajarangi Bhaijan, Aamir Khan’s PK and Shah Rukh’s Chennai Express.
