Non-net fellowships: Jawaharlal Nehru University student team in Maulana Azad National Urdu University

The JNU team will also be visiting English and Foreign Languages University, Osmania University and the University of Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A team of students from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, visited the Maulana Azad National Urdu University on Monday to conduct meetings with students of MANUU to sensitise them about the protests being conducted in New Delhi over scrapping of the Non-National Eligibility Test (non-NET) fellowships by UGC.

The protest being conducted in New Delhi named ‘Occupy UGC’ spread from just demanding of the continuation of non-NET fellowships to increase in its amount, removal of the selection criteria for it and expanding it to state universities.

The JNU team will also be visiting English and Foreign Languages University, Osmania University and the University of Hyderabad.
