Rahman to score music for remake of Mollywood hit film?
Successful films like Paapanasam, 36 Vayathinile, which released earlier this year were remakes of superhit Malayalam flicks. Arulnithi’s upcoming film Aaravathu Sinam, too is a remake of Mollywood film Memories that had Prithviraj playing the lead role. Now, yet another film of Prithviraj, Ennu Ninte Moidheen (ENM), a romantic tale, which released recently, will also be remade in Tamil.
RS Vimal, who directed ENM, confirms the same, and says, “The film received great critical response and was a huge hit at the box office too. Popular writer Jeyamohan will be writing the dialogues for the Tamil version and the script work is almost complete. We are planning to commence the shooting in next year.”
There was speculation that Karthi will reprise the role of Prithviraj and that AR Rahman will compose music for the film.
Quiz him about the same, and he says, “The cast and crew of the Tamil version has not been finalised. But it’s true that I appro- ached Rahman sir. He said he would be a part of the project if his call sheet allows him to do so. It's too early to say about roping him for the project.”
