Actress has been approached by Abhinay Deo to play the role of a woman with certain superpowers
Director Abhinay Deo has approached Priyanka Chopra for his next film and from what we hear, the discussions are in an advanced stage. He intends to start the proposed film after wrapping up Force 2, which he is currently shooting with John Abraham, Sonakshi Sinha and Tahir Raj Bhasin. He is also working on the second season of 24 as a producer, alongside Anil Kapoor.
A source said, “Abhinay is someone who keeps noting down ideas that come to his mind. This is one of them, where the leading lady has certain superpowers. We’re not sure what those powers are at the moment, but they help her deal with different circumstances in life.”
Abhinay has discussed the character and script with Priyanka and the latter seemed much taken in by the idea, since she hasn’t worked on any such concept in the past. If she does agree to play the part, this will be the first time Abhinay and Priyanka will be working together.
Adds the source, “Yes, Priyanka seemed excited about the project and asked a lot of questions, all of which Abhinay answered to her satisfaction.” Priyanka, who is in Montreal most of the time shooting for Quantico, had said that she has a couple of films in hand that she’ll talk about only later.
And until Quantico wraps up, she won’t commit to any film. Abhinay, who plans the start shooting the film next year, wasn’t available for comment.
