CBFC chairman Pahlaj Nihalani plans to expose FTII students as 'anti-nationals'
Mumbai: After ‘Mera Desh Hai Mahan’, Central Board of Film Certification chairman Pahlaj Nihalani’s next project is a short film on the ‘failure of FTII’. His first video showered praises on Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi.
According to reports, Pahlaj plans to make a short documentary that exposes FTII students as anti-nationals whose only goal is to bring down the Modi government. He wants to highlight how badly the FTII was functioning all these years and how the students were using government resources continuously but working against it.
Apparently, he believes that filmmakers who have been long forgotten are now cashing in on FTII students to revive their careers. He went on to say that they are the producers who opposed Modi government before elections.
Students of FTII were on strike from June this year till last month to protest against the government's decision to appoint BJP member Gajendra Chauhan as the institute's chairman. Now, they have planned to take the protest to the International Film Festival of India in Goa starting on November 20.
