Canadian Sikh man’s selfie photoshopped to resemble Paris terrorist, shared by ISIS

Jubbal was targeted and was said to be a part of the heinous crimes that took place in Paris

Canada: Veerender Jubbal, a Sikh man from Canada, was recently prey to a cruel joke when someone photoshopped his image and circulated it online. The retouched photograph shows Jubbal wearing a suicide bomb vest and holding a Quran.

He is also an active participant of the GamerGate controversy that created quite an uproar last year over the promotion of sexism in video games.

The image was first shared by @abualut8 on Twitter with a caption that read: "BREAKING, one Islamic State attacker in #ParisAttacks was a Sikh convert to Islam." The tweet has since been deleted.

Jubbal was targeted and was said to be a part of the heinous attacks that took place in Paris.

After this initial tweet, the photo went viral. So much so that it was even shared by a pro-ISIS channel on the Telegram app. It was the same app that the terrorist group used to claim responsibility for the Paris attacks.

Jubbal took to twitter and posted the following tweet to clear all the offences against him.

To clear all doubts against him, Jubbal also shared the original photograph of him, holding an iPad in hand and wearing a turban.

He also mentioned that he never visited Paris and resides in Canada. Some of the gamers took this photoshopped image of Jubbal as an opportunity to hit back at him. Following are the series of tweets that followed between Jubbal and the gamers:
