Central Information Commissioner order on answersheet photocopies

Some varsities have been collecting a lot of mone for providing photocopies

Khammam: The Central Information Commissioner will be sending notices to all universities in the country not to collect more than Rs 2 per page from students for photocopies of answer sheets.

It is students’ right to know the marks they got for the answers written by them and universities should honor it. However, some varsities have been collecting a lot of money for providing photocopies of answer sheet to students to discourage them from seeking them.

“It is not proper and genuine and we will issue notices to all universities in this regard,” said the Central Information Commissioner, Mr Madabhushi Sridhar.
