TD to start new wing for Anganwadi workers
Vijayawada: The TD is all set to launch a new wing for Anganwadi teachers and workers to fight the government to solve their problems. On the directions of party general secretary Nara Lokesh, the party's women wing has been coordinating all the activities of the proposed Anganwadi wing. The party is likely to disclose the logo and name of the new wing within a couple of days, Ms Achanta Sunita, the TD Krishna district women wing president, confirmed.
Ms Sunita said the women’s wing would meet Mr Lokesh and finalize the logo and name to best represent the Anganwadi workers. She added that the logo would represent the nature of the relationship of the mother and child.
Ms Sunita said that they already prepared the ground identify anganwadi teachers and workers in the district to invite them to join the organisation. She said they would create groups with the staff of the Anganwadi from the mandal to thhe state level.
Mr Lokesh feels that the group head would be responsible to bring the problems of the anganwadi workers to the government and for that they the party women's wing would extend all help. The proposals and demands would come through this group would be solved by Chief Minister and the ministries concerned. The party was going to start the new wing to build relations with the anganwadi teachers and workers, who have been fighting against the government with the support of CPM demanding a hike in wages and other allowances. With this initiative, the TD would get multiple benefits including credit for redressal provided by the government.
