Seven DSPs to probe ASI scam
Hyderabad: The Crime Investigation Department has set up seven teams to investigate the money lending scam of arrested assistant sub-inspector B. Mohan Reddy.
“Each team is headed by a DSP-level officer,” said a senior official from the Telangana CID. According to the confession report, Mohan Reddy had confessed that he had helped the Peddapalli MLA to take a loan of Rs 3 crore.
According to sources, Mohan Reddy had revealed the names of those who had helped him carry out his scam. He had named Karimnagar additional SP Janardhan Reddy, CID SP R. Bhaskar Rao, former DSP Ganapathi Jadav, Huzurabad DSP Sanjeev Kumar.
Sources said he had also named Korutla circle inspector Surendra, CID inspector Sai Manohar, electricity vigilance inspector Ch Mallesh from Karimnagar, State Intelligence Bureau SI Buchi Ramulu, and head constable Shankar Singh. The CID has served notices to the officers and attached most of them to the headquarters.
