PM nudge got red sanders smuggler, Gangi Reddy back
Hyderabad: Recent interaction between the Prime Ministers of India and Mauritius for cooperation on various issues sealed the fate of notorious red sanders smuggler Kollam Gangi Reddy.
The deportation order of Gangi Reddy was signed by none other than the Mauritius Prime Minister Anerood Jugnaut. Sources in Andhra Pradesh CID said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had raised the issue of deportation of Gangi Reddy during his recent one-to-one meet with Mr Anerood Jugnaut during the India-Africa summit.
Despite hiring a top barrister of Mauritius who is also an MP, the Andhra Pradesh CID, with the help of the MEA, could not get him deported.
