CM Chandrababu Naidu puts off visit to America
Hyderabad: The proposed trip to the US by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to attract investments for AP has been postponed. Mr Naidu was supposed to start on December 5 for the US and had planned visits to New York and Sanfransisco cities to attract NRI investments for the state.
However sources close to Naidu told this newspaper that he has postponed the visit on an advise from NRIs that December month which generally a vacation time for NRIs may not be good for seeking investments. Naidu was also advised to postpone his visit by two more months so that sufficient ground work could be prepared to make his trip more fruitful.
They have also cited reasons seeking postponement stating it would be better to prepare specific projects for the NRIs investments in AP and market them during his meetings in the US so that it would be easier for the investors to opt them. Naidu’s visit to the US was to attract IT majors to establish their units both in Amaravati capital region and in Visakhapatnam.
