Singer and now TV presenter on The X Factor Olly Murs bungled up his duties on air and mistakenly declared a contestant was being booted off the show thanks to judges votes — minutes before the actual public voting system confirmed his “prediction”.
He later wrote on his Twitter profile, “I apologise to everyone tonight, I made a massive f*** up at the end. It was so tense!”
Meanwhile, others on social media showed their displeasure by trolling and criticising him, with one user claiming, “Olly Murs just lost his career on live TV.”
