Azhar’s shooting in Hyderabad goes for a toss
Hyderabad: Director Tony D’souza and his lead actor Emraan Hashmi had a tough time shooting for ‘Azhar’ at Osmania University in Hyderabad. The incident occurred on Sunday when reportedly more 3000 union members reached the location and disrupted the shooting. The institution has more than 32 unions and due to some miscommunication the makers couldn't shoot as planned.
According to the reports, the makers had all the necessary permission to shoot at this location. Emraan Hashmi was keen to intervene and talk to the union but that option was later considered to be unsafe.
The actor along with his team shifted to a safer location inside the building till the mob left the venue.
The team was shooting some court scenes but do to this incident it couldn’t be filmed. The director has no plans to push his luck. He will go as per his schedule and shoot the court scenes at some other location.
Lara Dutta, Prachi Desai and Nargis Fakhri were not present on the location when the incident occurred.
