Affordable homes soon: CM Chandrababu Naidu
Tirupati: The construction of houses, each costing Rs 2.75 lakh, in housing schemes will start soon, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said on Saturday.
Mr Naidu was briefing the media after the completion of the two-day brainstorming session with party leaders. He said the previous governments had constructed houses like match boxes but the TD government would construct houses with proper facilities for the poor.
He said the new scheme ‘Neeru-Pragathi’ for water conservation would start soon. Under this, inter-linking of rivers and preservation of groundwater levels would be taken up to overcome the water problem in the state.
Similar brainstorming conclaves would be held every three months at different places in the state, Mr Naidu said. Leaders of all districts would interact with the public every month to record their problems.
He urged the cadre to work in tandem with the government and the party in finding and solving the public's problems.
He said the ‘Jana Chaitanya Yatralu’ will start from November 20 and last for 14 days to enlighten the public about the government schemes as well as learn of administrative faults so as to rectify them.
