Kochi: Shahanas (22), alias Abdulla, an aide of Thadiyantavide Nazeer, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operative and an accused in the Bengaluru blast case, was arrested by police from near the North railway station here on Saturday.
The police raided the house of Nazeem, a friend of Nazeer, and another where Shahanas, son of Abbas of Puthiri House near Allapra at Asamannoor in Perumbavoor, was staying and arrested him. It was Nazeem who introduced Shahanas to Nazeer.
North police station SI Sanal S. received a telephonic message at 2.30 pm informing that the accused was staying near the North railway Station. The police held Shahanas in minutes.
