Seems like 2015 has turned out to be a bumper year for Kamal Haasan. Following the success of Paapanasam, his latest outing Thoongavanam too has been declared a hit at the box office. Uttama Villain, which released earlier this year, though a failure venture was widely appreciated by critics. Now, the movie directed by Ramesh Arvind has caught the attention of international audience too.
The film, which had Kamal essaying dual roles, has bagged awards in four categories in the Los Angeles International Film Festival. The movie has been adjudged as Best Film while Kamal Haasan, Ghibran and Kunal Rajan have been honoured for Best Actor, Best Music Director and Best Sound Design respectively. Ghibran has also won the Best Music Director award for the film in Russian International Film Festival too.
