Hyderabad: A Class III student was allegedly raped by a Tollywood actor’s security guard in Banjara Hills on Thursday.
The accused, Dubasi Nagender, who is working as a security guard at the residence of Tollywood hero Sai Dharam Tej, lured the girl with chocolates to his rented accommodation and raped her, said sources.
Nagender, 23, a native of Medak district, had joined as a security guard in a city-based firm, Krupa Security agency. He was posted at the actor’s Jubilee Hills residence around 10 days ago. He has been residing at Indiranagar in Banjara Hills.
On Thursday evening around 4.30 pm, the victim, along with two other kids, was playing in front of Nagender’s rented house. Her parents had left her at home with her aunt and had gone to the hospital for her father’s check-up.
“Nagender lured her with a chocolate. He took her home and raped her,” said Banjara Hills inspector Murali Krishna.
Rape accused arrested, sent to remand
The girl who was raped at actor Sai Dharam Tej’s house by a security guard, came out crying and when her aunt enquired, she told her about the incident.
“The guard joined only 10 days ago. The security agency said that they had done a background check of the candidate before appointing him and we are not aware of his character and activities,” said a source close of the actor.
Based on a complaint, a case under Section 376 of IPC and sections of the POCSO Act has been registered. The accused has been arrested and sent to remand.
