Trekker captures video of the earth ‘breathing’
A video that had recently gone viral has completely stumped social media users. The reason – it appears to show the surface of the earth moving up and down – as if it was ‘breathing’.
The video, which was shot by trekker Brian Nuttal on Halloween’s Day, was shot at the Apple River in Nova Scotia, Canada. Nuttal suddenly noticed the unusual phenomenon and decided to record the mesmerising scene on his cell phone’s camera, reports Unilad.
For those who want to know a scientific explanation for this amazing occurrence, here it is: the phenomenon is caused because the tree roots spread out wide underneath the forest floor had become detached. Whenever the winds start blowing, the root systems move under the ground, which makes it look like the earth is ‘breathing’.
