Hyderabad High Court puts Talasani Srinivas Yadav on notice

The court sought T. Srinivas Yadav's stance on the plea moved against him

Hyderabad: Pointing out the maintainability of a Writ of Quo Warranto against a Cabinet minister whose resignation (from his previous party) was yet to accepted by the Speaker of the Assembly, the Hyderabad High Court on Thursday issued notices to commercial taxes minister T. Srinivas Yadav seeking his stance on the plea moved against him.

A division bench comprising acting Chief Justice Dilip B. Bhosale and Justice S.V. Bhatt was dealing with a Writ of Quo Warranto petition by journalist T. Sivaprasad Reddy seeking to declare the action of the Chief Minister in appointing Mr Yadav as a minister as arbitrary and illegal.
