BALLARI: A six-year-old girl found dead after being allegedly raped by miscreants at Swamihalli village in Gudekote police station limits in Kudligi taluk of the district early Thursday.
According to Gudekote PSI Bhimanagouda, the girl, Manasa, went missing from her home on Wednesday evening around 7pm and was found dead on the village outskirts around 2.30 am on Thursday.
Police suspect that the girl was killed after being raped or sacrificed for black magic. Police registered a case and picked up few suspected people into custody for interrogation, but nobody has been arrested so far. Additional SP Vijay Dambal visited the spot and the police are investigating.
