One of the trend-setting combinations of Kollywood, Suriya and Gautham Menon, had parted ways some time ago owing to differences of opinion. Since then, things weren’t smooth for the duo when they worked with other actors/directors. Now, we hear that the duo is all set to bury the hatchet and come together for a movie, as they feel it would bring back the good old times to their respective careers. There has already been speculation that Suriya might star in Gautham’s next movie. However, it remains to be seen whether the film would be the old project Dhruva Natchathiram on which they had the fallout, or a movie with a completely new plot.
While the action thriller Kaakha Kaakha, the first movie for which the duo teamed up, was a runaway hit, the romantic musical flick Vaaranam Aayiram was critically acclaimed and still stands out as one of the best films in the last decade. Gautham is currently busy with Simbu’s Achcham Enbadhu Madamaiyada, and Suriya has 24 and Singam 3 in his kitty.
